Cy Pres
After class action settlements or trials, the money that is ordered to remedy the harm is often left undistributed or unrecovered. Cy Pres allows for these funds to be distributed to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (like TJP) to support work the indirectly benefits the members of that class. Proyecto de Justicia Transformativa
de Colorado
El Proyecto de Justicia Transformativa de Colorado ofrece una amplia gama de servicios destinados a apoyar a los jóvenes de 10 a 25 años afectados por sistemas opresivos. En el centro de nuestro trabajo está la defensa de la juventud y el apoyo directo. Nuestro programa Community Cares proporciona a los jóvenes servicios integrales, como apoyo a la salud mental, abogacía en los sistemas de corte y educación, y navegación por los recursos. Además, nuestro programa Educación Primero proporciona a los jóvenes representación legal para cuestiones derivadas de incidentes relacionados con la escuela. Aprende tus Derechos en la Comunidad (LYRIC) es un nuevo programa del TJP, compuesto íntegramente por apasionados voluntarios abogados y estudiantes de Derecho que donan su tiempo para capacitar a los jóvenes en el ejercicio de sus derechos constitucionales. El plan de estudios de LYRIC da vida al derecho constitucional para los jóvenes en escuelas, centros de justicia juvenil y talleres comunitarios. Por último, nuestro programa Believe in Youth ayuda a los jóvenes a eliminar sus antecedentes penales.
