TRANSFORMATIVE JUSTICE PROJECT

Our mission: to abolish the school-to-prison pipeline by dismantling systemic racism embedded in the existing institutions of education, mental health, and criminal injustice, while helping young people to develop the tools to define their own story.

 
 

Our Services

  • Personalized Court Advocacy: Guiding youth & families through the legal system and providing support during court proceedings.

  • Education Support: Addressing barriers to education, collaborating with schools, and ensuring access to quality learning environments.

  • Transportation Assistance: Supporting youth with transportation needs, including bus passes, gas cards, and mileage reimbursement for court appearances and school.

  • Mental Health Services: Offering both clinical and decolonized culturally sensitive, community-centered, and restorative approaches to mental health

  • Family Nights, Retreats, and Community Activities: Organizing events that foster connections, healing, and a sense of belonging among youth and their families.

  • Court Fee Payment Assistance: Alleviating the financial burden by helping youth with court fee payments, enabling them to focus on personal growth.

  • Youth Empowerment: Equipping young individuals with the means to define their own stories and navigate systemic challenges.

  • Advocacy and Support: Collaborating with schools, legal teams, mental health professionals, community members, and families to ensure comprehensive support for youth.

  • Community Engagement: Promoting community involvement and connection as key factors in reducing the risk of future incarceration.
